Revision as of 22:06, 23 September 2014

I'm replying here rather than on the Military History Talk page, because the following are assumptions. They may help if you don't get a sourced response on that page:
- d.R./Fl.: der (or Dienst [service], but that should be capialized) Reserve (Resierve?) Fliegerkorps (If he had a Luftwaffe reserve commission) (Can't remember the German spelling offhand)
- Stab/Lg.Kdo. Moskau: Stab/Luftgruppe Kommando Moskau Staff of the Moscow Air Group Command
- Koflug Thorn: Kommandoflug Thorn Thorn Flying (or Flight) Command Lineagegeek (talk) 14:18, 30 June 2014 (UTC)
- I would have to defer to someone with more knowledge of the Luftwaffe command structure as to whether these are the exact names for the command involved. For example, since the Germans were forced in some cases to put training units on the front lines, it occurs to me that Lg could stand for Lehrgruppe as well as Luftgruppe. (one of the reasons I didn't want to embarras myself on the MILHIST talk pages). --Lineagegeek (talk) 20:50, 30 June 2014 (UTC)
- I see I was right about embarrasing myself. I'll have to agree that the "g" in Lg. didn't stand for Gruppe (I thought the lower case g was being used to distinguish it from the upper case G, which is the usual abbreviation for Geschwader (traditional translation "wing"), even though the usual abbreviation for Gruppe is Gr. Luftgau Kommando Moskau translates something like Air Area Command Moscow. --Lineagegeek (talk) 22:24, 1 July 2014 (UTC)

Restoration of Biofuel Research Team (BRTeam)
Hi Jim, We am writing to request for the restoration of BRTeam page. 30,000 people die every year in Iran because of air pollution mainly caused by burning fossil fuels! 3000 to 4000 in Tehran only! BRTeam (www.brteam.ir) and its extension branch; Extension Group of Environmentalists (EGE; www.environmentalists.ir) are the largest NGO being supported by UNDP in Iran to promote replacement of fossil fuels with waste-oriented biofuels, an example could be found here: https://sgp.undp.org/index.php?option=com_sgpprojects&view=projectdetail&id=18910&Itemid=205
The team consits of over 70 researchers and scholars from 7 countries and over 20 universities, research institutes and private companies. The platform receives no state funds and is self-operated. Given the increasing level of pollution and consequent disease in Iran and neighboring countries in the Middle East and the fact that fossil fuels are readily available in the region, activities of this kind are of critical significance in the region and have to be made known so that the others follow the example. It is worth noting that all the activities being conducted are of non-profit nature aimed at promoting awareness towards destructive impacts of growing application of fossil fuels, environmental pollution, consequent disease such as cancer, and so on. Moreover, thousandths of people in particular youngsters have been educated and trained about the mentioned health and environmental issue. BRTeam is the largest platform of its kind in the Middle East and has a vision of preserving the environment and poverty alleviation/job creation through promoting the widespread application of WASTE-oriented biofuels.
We do hope you will kindly reconsider your decision and give us a chance to rewrite the article through your kind advice and instructions.
Thank you, Team Editorial Office Biofuel Research Team www.brteam.ir www.brt@abrii.ac.ir

New Article on Rakesh Khanna pushed LIVE
Dear Jim,
After making edits per your suggestions, I have made the article live at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rakesh_Khanna
However, there's a "cleanup" tag which has popped up on the article.
Can you please have a look at it & suggest changes, if required.

Article on Kotobukiya
Hello Jim,
Edit: Thank you for your reply and your time helping with a newbie like me. I read your feedback and critiques and worked on the revision. Hopefully I got it right this time. If you could take a look at it I'd really appreciate it.
Edit 2: I think I might have accidentally submitted it to my user page again! I'm so sorry about that. I don't think I can submit it under "Kotobukiya" due to the name being locked. Is there any way we can unblock the name or would I have to rename the title of the article (to something like "Kotobukiya (toy store)"?) I'm really sorry for all the trouble. I'd be grateful if you could review it again for me so I can submit it formally. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pondeponde (talk • contribs) 07:49, 11 September 2014 (UTC)
I'm going to apologize ahead of time for being new at this but I am trying to put a company article on wikipedia. I noticed that you have deleted it twice due to inappropriate advertising. I have not read the old article before (nor do I know if it's the same company or a different company with the same name), but I was wondering if it would be possible to submit a new article for the company. Thank you in advance for your time and help!

Need help to clear flag on Rakesh Khanna
Dear Jim,
The new wiki page created for Rakesh Khanna was nominated for deletion by Gaff.
I have made the required edits to this page. I have also added few new sections and diluted the language a bit.
Can you please help me clear the "flag"/"notifications" &/or suggest me actions to get the page cleared.

Noisyneko
Hello Jimfbleak
I fixed the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angry_Little_Asian_Girl,_Five_Angry_Episodes. Can you advise me as to how I should ask for deletion of an infringing trade name? This blogger https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angry_Asian_Man page has issues: {{di-dw no source}} {{db-g11}} {{db-g12}} {{db-web}} {{db-p1}} Not only has he been infringing on my trade name, but his name has caused confusion as to the source. And he's admitted to coming up with his name because he was inspired by me. "One of the repeat questions I've gotten over the years: "Angry Asian Man? Are you at all related to Angry Little Asian Girl?" No. Not in any sort of trademarked affiliation. But I consider her a true sibling in Anger with a capital A. And definitely a major spiritual inspiration for the earliest iteration of this blog."
I have trademarked Angry Little Asian Girl since 1999. Can you help?

Today's Featured Article: Notification
This is to inform you that Mascarene martin, which you nominated at WP:FAC, will appear on the Wikipedia Main Page as Today's Featured Article on 6 October 2014. The proposed main page blurb is here; you may amend if necessary. Please check for dead links and other possible faults before the appearance date. Brianboulton (talk) 22:47, 11 September 2014 (UTC)
Anything I can do?
Wondering if you have an FA or GA in the works. I'd be glad to review or something. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 09:03, 14 September 2014 (UTC)
- Glad to hear you're settling in. There've been far too few birds at FAC recently. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 12:21, 15 September 2014 (UTC)
Smeetesh patel
Hello. Can you please tell me who created Smeetesh patel. i would like to know because the previous creator is blocked so it could be a case of block evasion. BTW only the last copy as it has been deleted at least three times (2 at Smeetesh patel and 1 at Smeetesh Patel (note the capital "P")) -- Thanks NickGibson3900 Talk 08:12, 16 September 2014 (UTC)
I need your eye and comments
I recently created the article Monarch butterfly migration. I still need to do a lot of reference work on it but editors have begun to revert edits and I am getting uncomfortable with the way this is going. Would you mind taking a look at the history (the past week) and give me some advice? Bfpage |leave a message 11:46, 19 September 2014 (UTC)
- I got your message on my talk page but would like to take the discussion to the talk page of the article. No hurry, I am going to take a few days off from the article and take a break to regain perspective. Regards, Bfpage |leave a message 17:47, 19 September 2014 (UTC)

Hi Jimfbleak,
You deleted an AFC article I submitted last month due to alleged copyright infringement. I'm not exactly sure what you think I've plagiarized but I can assure you I wrote that article entirely in my own words. If you'd be willing to restore the page I'd be more than happy to rewrite it to your satisfaction.
Thanks,

- Lord Zoltan was deleted seven years ago by a different admin. I can see nothing in your deleted contributions related to that title. I can't find a similar page in my deletion logs for August. If I am going to be able to help, I will need either the full correct title of the article, the date and time it was deleted, or the correct account name of the article creator Jimfbleak - talk to me? 05:46, 22 September 2014 (UTC)
It was at Draft:Lord Zoltan and deleted yesterday (15:15, 21 September 2014). 72.74.201.223 (talk) 12:19, 22 September 2014 (UTC)
- thank you. As far as I can see, any copyright violation is minimal (detector found one sentence) and could be easily fixed. I've restored the article and put in the edit summary a request that further details are given if violation is still alleged Jimfbleak - talk to me? 15:48, 22 September 2014 (UTC)
I appreciate the assistance. 72.74.201.223 (talk) 20:32, 22 September 2014 (UTC)
Just a note. [2] I think that the article claims enough significance that PROD or AFD would be more suitable in this situation. Ks0stm (T•C•G•E) 14:16, 22 September 2014 (UTC)
I saw that you deleted the page for having "no independent sources". It does appear to be getting coverage, and I didn't think it was obviously promotional. Couldn't you have waited a bit longer before pulling the trigger? I don't know if it's really notable, but I don't think you applied the right speedy criteria.
