Chill Rob G (born Robert Frazier) is a rapper from Queens, New York. He was part of Queen Latifah's New Jersey-based Flavor Unit collective, which also involved Nikki D, DJ Mark the 45 King, and Naughty By Nature, among others. He was signed to MC Serch's Wild Pitch Records in the late 1980s, and released one album, Ride The Rhythm, on the label. Ride The Rhythm's track alternated between a somewhat hardcore sound and an easygoing, conversational tone. It was chosen by The Source as one of the 100 Greatest Hip-Hop Albums, and has a small but devoted fan base.
In 1989, the lyrics and sound of his track "Let the Words Flow" were sampled without permission by the German pop/rap/dance crew Snap for their hit record "The Power".
In 2002, Chill Rob G appeared on DSP's album "In the Red". He has been shouted out by R.A. The Rugged Man.
