South Bank is one of two railway stations in South Brisbane within the state capital of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia (the other being South Brisbane railway station). It is part of the Queensland Rail City network, located in Zone 1 of the TransLink integrated public transport system.
History
South Bank railway station was formerly named Vulture Street, after the facing street. Its newer name is a reference to its proximity to the South Bank Parklands, and changed at the same time as the opening of the neighbouring South Bank Busway Station. The station provides access to the park and cinemas, and the Grey Street retail and dining precinct.
