Junior G - The Magic Starts Now... is an Indian superhero television drama series aired on Doordarshan in the early 2000s. It was directed by Ganshyam Pathak and produced by Aneesh Dev Jhhamb (Wide Angle Media).[1]

It features adventures of the orphan boy Gaurav Ray, who can transform to his secret identity Junior G with his magical ring. The boy got his supernatural ability when he accidentally stumbles into the crash between two asteroids. Emerging a much-empowered child from the collision, his mission becomes to destroy the evil wizard genius, Fyumancho.[1]

Its theme song (written by Sanjeev Kohli) was sung by famous playback singer Sonu Nigam.

Plot

A 12 years old boy blessed with magical divine powers fights evil persons like Fyumancho, Linda, Bobo, Madamme mercury, Helma, Dyana-the witch, Samahona, Bona and Magneto

Trivia

The show was popular at that time for kids specially, it was made in very estimated budget but its TRP has skyrocketed, and was in the list of Top 14 TV shows. The show also clashed with other Doordarshan shows like Mayavi nagri, Shaktimaan, Aaryamaan (brahmand ka maahan yodhaa). The show also has a large number of female villains or vamps in this superhero genre.
