Phantom Films is an Indian film production company started by Anurag Kashyap, director Vikramaditya Motwane, producer Madhu Mantena and the former head of UTV Spotboy Vikas Bahl.[1]
In March 2015, Reliance Entertainment picked up 50% stake in the company.[2]
The company’s first production[3] was period romance Lootera, directed by Motwane and starring Ranveer Singh and Sonakshi Sinha. Set against the backdrop of 1950s Kolkata, the film was financed by Mumbai-based Balaji Motion Pictures.
