In 1958 Tata steel formed a new refractory factory at Belpahar with collaboration with a German company names Belpahar refractories Limited. Later it has been named as TATA REFRACTORIES LIMITED . In 2011 TATA has sold 51% of its shares to Krosaki Harima Corporation <ref>http://www.krosaki.co.jp/english/</ref> of Japan , hence name changed to TRL-Krosaki Refractories Limited.
