Population

(replying four years later, but to make a point): I think this is going to be hard, because as far as I know, Stone Town isn't a formal entity from a census or administrative point of view. It's like saying "downtown". Zanzibaris even use "Stone Town" in a more restrictive way, i.e., people in Forodhani may give you directions to "go to Stone Town", as if Forodhani wasn't itself in Stone Town; they use it in a "downtown downtown" sense, i.e., at the "very centre", referring to the inner maze of coral stone houses you meet after passing the Old Fort from Forodhani. In practice, I think this article should emphasize Stone Town as a heritage site and cultural entity rather than a demographic or geographic entity. I am tempted to move climate data, as well as any population data, to Zanzibar City, where they would be more in context. Moongateclimber (talk) 13:39, 22 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox image

I'm reverting the infobox image after an edit by User:Muhammad Mahdi Karim. While his picture is of better overall quality, the former one has the unquestionable advantage of including two major landmarks of Stone Town. I have used Karim's image in the article. fix the link

the bit "(mostly clover)"

is incorrect and also incorrectly linked. it should be "(mostly cloves)" and should be linked to cloves the spice and not clover the animal feed.
