The Gold Coast Private Hospital is a brand new private hospital facility in Southport, Gold Coast that is set to replace Allamanda Private Hospital when it opens in March 2016. The $230 million facility will open with 284 beds and 13 operating theaters with capacity to expand to 400 beds and 21 theaters, in line with demand.
The new hospital will be co-located with the Gold Coast university Hospital and Griffith University, forming a major part of the Gold Coast's new 'Health and Knowledge Precinct'.
Location
Gold Coast Private Hospital when opened in March 2016 will be located in the 'Health and Knowledge Precinct' on 14 Hill Street, Southport. The Smith Street Motorway is only a few hundred meters from the hospital and with various public transport option this new hospital will be easy to get to.
Public Transport
The Griffith University G:link (Gold Coast light rail) station is across the road from the new hospital with trams running as frequent as 8 minutes during peak times.
A bus stop located adjacent to the tram station provides bus connection to Helensvale railway station and Southport.
