A wicket keeper, she was formerly married to Australian-born Derbyshire and Northamptonshire cricketer Matthew Cassar but she has reverted to her maiden name. She retired from the game during England's tour of Australia in 2008 after having played 109 one day internationals and 21 Tests. She was part of the team which regained the Ashes in 2005. Her brother David represented the Derbyshire Cricket Board in List A cricket.
