Cheerleader Massacre is a 2003 slasher film directed by Jim Wynorski and written by Lenny Juliano. The film stars Tamie Sheffield, Charity Rahmer, and Erin Byron. The film is sometimes mistakenly listed as a sequel to the Slumber Party Massacre franchise, as it has a flashback sequence to that film but is a story on its own. However, as in those films, much of the film's appeal relies on female nudity, sex, and gore. It is regarded as a modern B-movie.
The DVD was released on March 25, 2003. The special features include trailers, actor bios, audio commentaries, and a making of featurette.
Plot
Five cheerleaders (Edna, Ella, Lynne, Marzia and Pam), their coach Sally, her husband Lewie, the assistant coaches Max and Corey, Lynne's boyfriend Dan, and Ella's girlfriend Char go into the woods to practice for cheerleading. They set up in a cabin, and several members of the group see a shadowy figure in the woods. After the girls' first day of cheerleading, Lynne and Dan have sex. Dan goes outside and the killer beats him to death with a crowbar. The next day, Lynne finds a note from Dan saying that he had to leave.
The next day, during practice, Lewie leaves to get groceries. He runs over tire spikes placed by the killer. When he gets out of his truck, the killer stabs him to death with a screwdriver. Sally finds Ella making out with Char, and forces the two to look for her husband. They split up and Char finds Lewie's body in the woods. She panics and tries to run, but the murderer kills her with a sledgehammer. Ella finds a note from Char saying that she left because Sally made her uncomfortable, while Sally gets a message from Lewie that he had to stay in the city because his mother fell ill.
That night, Lynne finds Dan's dead body under her bead. She is attacked by the killer and tries to make a run fr it, but the killer stabs her in the head with knitting needles, killing her. Sally talks to the girls in her cabin one at a time, starting with Edna. While Ella waits outside, the kiler shoots her to death with a nail gun. Sally thinks that Ella has left, and becomes angry.
Edna has sex with Max. The killer enters her cabin and stabs Max in the throat with a drill, spraying blood on Edna's breasts. Corey tells Sally that he thinks she should send Pam home, but Sally insists on her staying. Pam finds Edna's severed arm in her cabin.
