Carolyn Harris (born 18 September 1960) is a British politician, the Labour MP for Swansea East since May 2015.[1]
Personal life
Harris is married to Dai Harris with whom she has three sons, one of which has passed away.
In March 2016 a national newspaper alleged Harris had assaulted a then member of her office staff in November 2014 during a series of bullying incidents. The staff member claimed it was because she had come out as a lesbian. Harris denied the claims, although the reported incident had been witnessed.[2] Police were unable to proceed with an investigation because the six-month time limit for common assault cases had expired.[3]
