As discussed before here, the highest military rank currently available in Iran is Major general (souce), held only by Chief of staff of the armed forces, Commander-in-chief of the Revolutionary Guards, Commander-in-chief of the army and a few others. (There are no lieutenant generals or marshals in Iran since 1979, except for Ali Sayyad Shirazi who recieved it posthumously) So Brigadier general is the second highest rank available in Iran. If an Iranian brigadier general commanding a military branch is not notable for his position, so we should delete all branch commanders, including Air Force commander and Chief of police? • Delete or redirect to Islamic Republic of Iran Air Defense Force (as that's what "Air Defense Base" is piped to) per WP:WHYN; despite a technical pass of WP:SOLDIER (which is an essay, BTW, not an SNG), this subject does not qualify for a stand-alone article just yet. No sources have been presented at this AfD that cover the subject directly and in detail.
