Rabbids: Alive & Kicking, known as Rabbids: Fuori di schermo in Italy, is a video game which was released by publisher and developer Ubisoft (Ubisoft Paris and Ubisoft Milan[1]) on November 3, 2011 in Australia, November 4, 2011 in Europe and November 8, 2011 in North America for the Xbox 360 video game platform.[2] This is the sixth game from the Raving Rabbids games franchise and it is the first Rabbids game not released on a Nintendo platform. The game was exclusively developed for the Kinect and consists of mini-games with up to 4 players.[3] It was presented at the 15th E3 in Los Angeles, California, United States.[citation needed]
Gameplay
The rabbids are invading reaility and the player will be able to interact with the rabbids like never before. The player can kick them, slap them, talk to them, and much more with the help of the Kinect sensor. As the game is a party game, all of the gameplay consists of minigames to up to four players. Most minigames can be played alone, but two of them require two players or more.
Reception
Rabbids: Alive and Kicking has received mixed reviews. Metacritic gives it an aggregate score of 5.8, while GameRankings gave it a score of 61,64%, and Official Xbox Magazine UK gave an 8 out of 10. Mitch Dyer from IGN criticized well the game for the gameplay but not for the controllers: "Imprecise controls ruin the uncomplicated games. It started out unfulfilling and didn't get much better. It's the kind of mindless thing I'd load up on my phone for five minute bursts." However, GameSpot gave the game a 4.0 rating, criticizing the "weak visuals" and "tedious navigation."
