| ShortSummary = At the river, Sakura sees Sai being an artistic talent but does not make titles he ever drew. As Naruto and Sakura recognizes Sai's repulsive personality. Yamato walks the team into a forest, telling them that following the usual way could be a trap. That night Yamato uses the Four Pillar House Jutsu for the team to rest. He asks Sakura everything she knows about Sasori. Sakura tells about his appearance, and his message about the Tenchi bridge. Hearing this, Yamato tells the team that he will be disguising as Sosori to meet Orochiaru's spy and if he gets identified they will involve in combat. He warns that the mission would be a delicate one and the spy surely must be someone strong. Yamato uses the "Buddy system" and pairs himself along with Sakura, and Naruto with Sai.

| ShortSummary = Naruto complains being with Sai in the team. Yamato informs Sakura that she is the only medical-nin in the team and needs to be safe. Yamato visually explains them Plan A and B. Sai and Naruto try to defeat Yamato in a friendly battle, but are fooled by his substitution justu. Yamato wonders why Sai, a "Foundation" member has been added to Team Kakashi just as an alternative. Naruto and Sai go through another argument. Sakura questions Sai if he feels any emotions and tries to explain the bond between Naruto and Sasuke. Sai tells her he has lost his brother but does not have an emotion still. At noon, the team arrives at the Tenchi bridge.

List of episodes

The episodes of the second season of the anime series Naruto: Shippuden are directed by Hayato Date, and produced by Studio Pierrot and TV Tokyo. They are based on Part II of the Naruto manga series by Masashi Kishimoto.[1] Titled Long-Awaited Reunion (遥かなる再会, Harukanaru Saikai),[2] the season follows Naruto Uzumaki and friends attempting to reason with Sasuke Uchiha. The second season was broadcast on TV Tokyo in Japan, from November 8, 2007 to April 3, 2008.[3][4] The season was later released on DVD in Japan over five discs between April 8 and August 8, 2008 by Aniplex.[2]

On January 2, 2009 Viz Media and Crunchyroll began providing subtitled Naruto: Shippuden episodes.[5] Naruto Shippuden premiered in the United States in Disney XD in late 2009,[6] with these episodes airing between April 2, 2010 and October 27, 2010.[7] The season was collected in five DVD volumes by Viz Media from April 6, 2010 to August 10, 2010.[8][9] It was also compiled in two DVD boxes alongside the first season's last episodes on August 3, 2010 and October 19, 2010.[10][11] In the United Kingdom, Manga Entertainment released it in three volumes from October 10, 2010 to May 16, 2011,[12][13] while it was also part of a DVD box released on March 7, 2011.[14]

The season uses three musical themes for one opening theme and two ending themes. The opening theme for this season is "Distance" by Long Shot Party. The ending themes are "Kimi Monogatari" (キミモノガタリ, "Your Story") by Little by Little, which is used for episodes 31 to 41, and "Mezamero! Yasei" (目覚めろ!野性, "Awaken! Wild") by Matchy with Question?, which is used from episodes 42 to 53.
