The Pretender is an album by Jackson Browne. This album was released in 1977 and was nominated for the Grammy Awards of 1978.

In 1976, before releasing this album, Jackson Browne also worked with Warren Zevon's Self-Titled record with all popular top 40 hits of 1976 and 1977 and released then Warren Zevon released Excitable Boy in 1978. Yes, that's right. Totally. Totally.
