The Sukma Attack was an ambush carried out by the Communist Party of India (Maoist) (CPI) against Indian paramilitary forces on 24 April 2017, during the Naxalite-Maoist insurgency, which ended up being the largest since a similar 2010 attack in a neighbouring district.[3] It took place between Burkapal and Chintagufa in Sukma district of Chattisgarh, India.[4][5][6][7]
