Dragon is the large female dragon in [[Shrek]] and [[Shrek 2]] who was put in charge of guarding Princess [[Fiona (Shrek)|Fiona]] in a castle. She falls in love with [[Donkey (Shrek)|Donkey]] in the first movie and arrives during the credits in a cutscene of the second movie with six baby dragon-donkey hybrids. Dragon is not assigned a specific name in either movie (although one website refers to her by the name "Diane") and does not talk in either movie. She has a good heart and has rescued Shrek and Donkey two times (from [[Farquaad (Shrek)|Farquaad) in the first movie and from a dragon statue brought to life in Shrek 3D). She is characterized as a large dark red dragon with long fin-shaped ears, bony spikes along her cheeks, a row of quills along her back, green eyes with black diamond shaped pupils, a golden chest, makeup, enormous scaly wings, and a diamond-shaped tip at the end of her tail. |

Dragon exhibits romantic behavior in the two movies (such as blowing heart shaped smoke rings and flirting at Donkey with her eyelashes). During her romance with Donkey in her castle, she would wrap him in her tail and cuddle him. Her kind behavior proves that dragons are naturally good and friendly when not terrified by humans.
