Adil Shah Afshar or Ali Qoli was Shah of Persia from 1747 until 1748. Subsequent to Nadir's assassination in Fathabad(Khabushan), Ali Khan, Nadir's nephew declared himself Adil Shah ("righteous king"), and shah of Persia. He slew Reza Gholi Mirza and Emam Gholi Mirza, children and heirs to the throne of Nadir, as well as all his other descendants, save Shahrokh who was only 14 at the time.

Death
Adil shah's reign came to an end in September 29 of 1748 having been in the power for less than a year. As a result of a coup d'etat by his own brother Ebrahim, he was deposed. Ebrahim blinded him, slew him, and succeeded as Shah.
