- 2000 : Carlyle becomes a majority shareholder of Key Plastics.
- 2002 : acquisition of Neyr by Mecaplast.
- 2003 : acquisition of Aries by Mecaplast.
- 2004 : acquisition of Kendrion Automotive by Key Plastics.
- 2009 : Avenir Automobile Fund (FAA) takes 33% of the group's shares. Key Plastics is bought by Wayzata.
- 2010 : acquisition of Olho Group by Key Plastics.
- 2012 : refocusing Key Plastics on its core businesses.
- 2016 : Equistone Partners Europe becomes the majority shareholder of the group (up to 72%).
- 2017 : On 19 September, Mecaplast and Key Plastics form a united group called Novares.
