Alison Hartson is a candidate in the United States Senate election in California, 2018. Ms. Hartson announced her candidacy on Thursday, November 2, 2017, and is likely to face opposition from Democrat incumbent Dianne Feinstein as well as CA Senate President Kevin de León[1].
Ms. Hartson , running against incumbent Dianne Feinstein. "Hartson lives in Orange County and is not well-known outside of progressive circles. She said she is hoping to capitalize on the wave of people inspired by the 2016 presidential bid of Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders."[2]
Ms. Hartson is the first nominee for a California Senate seat by the Justice Democrats, who report that she is "the first in her family to earn a college degree" and that prior to working as the National Director for Wolf PAC, she taught in working class high schools for ten years[3].
