Alexandru Nicolae Soare (born 20 September 1991) is a Romanian long distance runner who specialises in the marathon. He competed in the men's marathon event at the 2016 Summer Olympics.[1]
In age-speficic competitions, he finished 14th in the 10,000 metres at the 2010 World Junior Championships, sixteenth in the same event at the 2011 European Athletics U23 Championships, and at the 2013 European U23 Championships: 8th in the 5000 metres[citation needed] and won the silver medal in the 10,000 metres. He also won silver medals in the 10,000 metres at the 2015 and 2017 Universiades.[2] He also finished 11th in the half marathon at the 2015 Universiade and 4th in the 5000 metres at the 2017 Universiade.
