Ariya Bandara Rekawa is the current governor of Uva Province in Sri Lanka.[1] appointed on May 11, 2108. He was the former ambassador for Sri Lanka for The Philippines[2] from 2001 to 2004. Rekawa was a member of Parliament and represented the United National Party. he was the Deputy Chairman of Committees of the 9th Parliament of Sri Lanka.[3]
