==Biography==
Born April 16, 1973, Todd Reed has made Colorado his home for the majority of his life. In 1992 Reed began working for leathersmith Eric Hodges, fabricating the metal conchos for leather bags. Reed began teaching himself how to create jewelry from metal and colored gemstones. Even though Reed found a passion for creating jewelry, he enrolled in [[Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Portland|Western Culinary Institute]] in [[Portland, Oregon|Portland]], OR and pursued his other passion for cooking. While attending school in Oregon he sold his jewelry designs at local markets. He moved back to Colorado after completing school and began making jewelry full-time and selling to galleries. Soon after, Reed was introduced to rough diamonds by collector Jack Greenspan. As his business grew he began incorporating more raw diamonds into his work. Reed was among the first U.S. designers to use raw diamonds in modern jewelry, creating a new category in fine jewelry. Today, Todd Reed is respected for his innovative designs and use of unique material. As president and owner of Todd Reed, Inc. he is seen as the jewelry industry leader in artisanal luxury.

The core expression of Todd Reed, Inc. brand promise is that all works are handmade. This value became codified in January 2017 when Forged as One was launched. Forged as One communicates the relationship between designer Todd Reed and his studio of artisan makers. A personal maker's mark, created for each artisan, is stamped into each piece they make. Together with the Todd Reed hallmark, the combination of the company hallmark and the maker's mark illustrates the essence of Forged as One; it acknowledges both Todd Reed as the designer and each of the artisans who brought the piece to life. The marks guarantee that each piece is unique and handmade. Pieces made during the 25th Anniversary year were stamped with a special "25" mark.
