Makkala Sainya in Kannada, Mazhalai Pattalam (English: Group of Children) in Tamil is an bilingual Indian children's film directed by actress Lakshmi under the supervision of K. Balachander.[1] This was the only film directed by Lakshmi so far. It stars Vishnuvardhan and Sumithra in the lead. The story is based on the 1968 movie Yours, Mine and Ours. The film was remade in Telugu as Ramadandu with Murali Mohan.

Soundtrack
Soundtrack was composed by MS Viswanathan. The song "Gowri Manohariyai Kanden" is based on Gowri Manohari raga.[2] The song was named after Gowri Manohar, character from the film.[3]
