Ichasagua was a Guanche leader of the island of Tenerife, who was proclaimed Mencey (aboriginal king) after the European conquest of the island in the fifteenth century.
He was a member of the Guanche nobility of Adeje. He died assassinated being the last mencey of the island. He did not accept the so-called "Peace of Los Realejos" that led to the conquest of the island.[1]
In 1502, the Guanches who did not recognize the Castilian domination chose Ichasagua as king of the whole island, establishing this court in the natural fortress of Roque del Conde.[2]
Ichasagua was killed by the aborigines who supported the Spanish domination.
