It was founded in 2003 by Newton Lee and published by the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM)[5]. ACM Computers in Entertainment ended its run on December 28, 2018[6] with its bibliometrics showing a citation count of 2,473 and cumulative downloads of 508,326.[7] Lee oversaw the journal and magazine for 15 years from 2003 to 2018, earning him the title of the longest-serving editor-in-chief in the history of ACM.[7]
