== Micro gravity manufacturing ==
In 2016 the American aerospace company Made In Space announced that they plan to begin manufacturing the high value fiber ZBLAN in space for commercial purposes starting in 2017 they are now on there 3rd flight to the ISS after finding the fibers to be of higher quality in the micro gravity environment with the aim of making a 100m long fiber
This fiber has uses in laser technology as well for producing much faster fiber optics for the multi billion dollar globule fiber optics industry.

Space-based economy is economic activity in outer space, including asteroid mining, space manufacturing, space trade, construction performed in space such as the building of space stations, space burial, and space advertising.
