Taekkyon

Hello Bearberserk,

I saw what you wrote on Taekkyon & Subak. It is good work.
I understand what you are trying to say in regards to "Taekkyon & Taekkyon Yaetbop", but Taekkyon is generic term. I think that it would be better to write "competition Taekkyon & Taekkyon Yaetbop".

Competition taekkyon (as in taekkyon competitions between villages, & modern day competitions), & Taekkyon Yaetbop (street fighting).

I also think that writing that Taekkyon kicks are soft or not meant to hurt is not good.
The reason for the above, is that Taekkyon has a bad image of having kicks which are not meant to hurt the oppinent. For years Korean government web sites and others have portrayed this soft image of Taekkyon which has damaged its image in the West.
                             regards

Seoul Bob. Seoul Bob (talk) 10:41, 16 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Soft contact sparring is ok. Even when I was boxing, we always did soft contact sparring. It's safe & fun. However, in real life, full contact is used. There should be a distinction between soft contact sparring & real life's full contact usage. Also, it's better if there's also full contact sparring. Taekyun should also have Yetbub competitions, maybe with sparring equipment for safety. (Punching & kicking for real, unlike regular Taekkyeon competitions & sparrings which is a soft contact kicking with wrestling. Yetbub does hard power punching & kicking for real unlike regular Taekkyeon sparrings.) -bearberserk

Control copyright icon Hello Bearberserk, and welcome to Wikipedia. All or some of your addition(s) to Breaking (martial arts) have been removed, as they appear to have added copyrighted material without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues here.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are PD or compatibly licensed) it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions, the help desk or the Teahouse before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps in Wikipedia:Translation#How to translate. See also Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 15:08, 16 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

ok, I'm going to put quotation marks around the content then. I don't know how to do indentation thing though. -bearberserk

Information icon Please do not add commentary, your own point of view, or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Goguryeo. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. Zanhe (talk) 00:47, 22 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Ok. I will just make a copy of what I wrote in the talk section then. -bearberserk

Information icon Please do not attack other editors, as you did at User:Bearberserk. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Breaking sticks (talk) 23:21, 4 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

No idea what you are talking about. On my user channel, I can't even look up another editor's name. Bearberserk (talk) 00:00, 22 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there. Please be aware that images on Imgur won't last, they delete images after a few months. It's best to fill out the entire citation template, giving author, article name, date, and the URL to the online publication instead of a screenshot.

I also have to request that you tone down the "Korea vs. Japan" tone in some of your edits, it's not necessary to have entire subsections dedicated to that. Instead it is much better to just give a neutral-sounding history of the subject under the section "History" and let the facts speak for themselves. The section in Breaking (martial arts) is not written in a concise matter-of-fact manner. It would also be good to add some links (you can add links to other articles by writing [[things in brackets like this]]).

Thank you. – Þjarkur (talk) 17:09, 10 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I prefer to upload pictures to Wikipedia, but I don't have the time and space to be doing that. So, I'm using Imgur pictures for now. They seem to stay for a years. (Those were uploaded few months to years ago.)
I have hostility against Japan, but I don't let my emotional inclination (bias) affect my logical bias. There shouldn't be logical bias.
Yeah, wordings have to be changed.

Blocked

That's stupid. I don't use multiple accounts. I just sometimes don't log in before editing. Bearberserk (talk) 19:00, 20 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

That's stupid. I don't use multiple accounts. I just sometimes don't log in before editing. Also, I don't use multiple accounts for illegitimate reason. Bearberserk (talk) 17:35, 21 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

You need to explain the overlap in editing in order to be considered for unblocking. Yamla (talk) 17:48, 21 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

Overlap in editing is because sometimes, I don't log in to my ID but just use my IP address to edit Wiki due to laziness. I didn't do anything illegitimate neither with my ID nor with my IP address. I didn't act like being 2 different people neither. Bearberserk (talk) 23:55, 21 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Per Yamla's comment, below. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 11:03, 22 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

You are talking about anonymous editing with an IP address, but haven't addressed the overlap between this account and Wikibreaking. --Yamla (talk) 10:35, 22 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
