Jalen McDaniels (born January 31, 1998) is an American basketball player who last played for the San Diego State Aztecs.[1] McDaniels redshirted his freshman year and then played for two years at San Deigo State. In March 2019, he declared for the 2019 NBA Draft.[2] McDaniels is one of 66 players invited to the NBA Draft Combine [3].
High school career
McDaniels was the ranked as the 98th best prospect in the class of 2016 heading into his senior season at Federal Way High School. He was named an Associated Press Washington state Class 4A first-team selection after averaging 19 points, 10 rebounds and four blocked shots in his senior season.[4] Federal Way finished the season undefeated with a record of 29-0 and won the Class 4A state championship.

Personal life
McDaniels's brother, Jaden McDaniels, is the number one prospect in the state of Washington, while also being the 6th best prospect in the nation, and was selected as a McDonald's All-American. Jaden has offers from Kentucky, San Diego State, Texas, UCLA, and Washington.[5]
