m added note proposing to remove ref to Encyclopædia Britannica, and querying status of portrait.
added note about encyc brit and the MS example
Line 18: Line 18:

The reference to Encyclopædia Britannica yields little material, though it has been updated regularly and recently. I note that the portrait usually used from the Faculty of Music, Oxford, is deployed without reference to copyright, and though I would like to include it, I do not believe it is public domain. I will in due course remove the Britannica reference. Catchsinger (talk) 10:20, 16 October 2019 (UTC)

Have now removed Britannica reference because it covers nothing useful. I am more concerned about the page of MS from early edits: this is probably associated with the Willetts book but there is no immediate evidence, and I am not sure where to look locally though somewhat later on I can look in the BL.Catchsinger (talk) 19:38, 17 October 2019 (UTC)

Is there a discography? Xxanthippe 07:51, 25 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This is very thin when compared with the entry for his brother William, especially since they worked together on many projects at Court. There seems to have been little interest for for 12 years or so. Since I have some material from another project, as time allows I will add/replace the existing entry in the hope that this might attract further interest and activity. I am entering some material from an earlier project but may not have time to enter all necessary citations, but will come back later to sort that out.Catchsinger 11:04, 6 October 2019 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Catchsinger (talkcontribs)

I have to stop for the day and have left a reference dangling but will come beck and clean up soon Catchsinger (talk) 15:50, 13 October 2019 (UTC) Aha!Using the wrong template: the sheer volume of material in the Help pages is impressiveCatchsinger (talk) 15:48, 14 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
