Nowa Brzeźnica [ˈnɔva bʐɛʑˈnit͡sa] is a village (city rights since 1287 - 1870) in Pajęczno County, Łódź Voivodeship, in central Poland. It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Nowa Brzeźnica. It lies approximately 15 kilometres (9 mi) south-east of Pajęczno and 83 km (52 mi) south of the regional capital Łódź.[1] Birthplace of Jan Długosz, first polish historian.
