Tulu Brahmins or Tuluva Brahmins are the inhabitants of Tulu Nadu ,also considered an part of parashurama kshetra which extends uptill kerala.

They consist of following .[1]

  • Sthanika Brahmins , also called "Sthanika Tulu Brahmins" ; and/or "Tulu Brahmins" are the original inhabitants of Tulu Nadu whose history predates 380 B.C.Even Tuluva Hebbars brahmins from kollur who migrated to kabbinale and then to puttur; are related to them in ancient times.[2]

The remaining sub-sects of brahmins of tulunadu are immigrant exodus from other regions of India, especially from ahichatra in northern India and from costal areas of erstwhile Andhra.

First migration: Later part of the 9th century A.D.

Second migration: 11th century A.D.
