Michela Magas is an entrepreneur and innovation specialist, of Croatian/British nationality,[1] who was the 2017 European Woman Innovator of the Year.[1][2]

In the 1990s she worked at the Financial Times, as a designer.[2]

She is the founder of the London-based design innovation lab Stromatolite,[3] and of design innovation labs in Sweden and UK.[1] She is the founder of Music Tech Fest,[4][5] and chairs the Industry Commons Foundation.[6]

She lives in Umeå, Sweden, and works nomadically.[2] She is the daughter of the architect, Boris Magaš[8] and his wife Olga,[9] and was raised in Rijeke, Yugoslavia (now Republika Srpska).[9]
