Howard P. Forman MD, MBA, is a professor of radiology, economics, public health, and management at Yale University.[1]

He is known for his commentary on the U.S. government's response to the COVID-19 pandemic,[2][3][4][5][6] his political and healthcare writing on Twitter,[7][8] and his role in developing national leaders in healthcare. Forman's former students include Vivek Murthy, the 19th Surgeon General of the United States; Kate Goodrich, chief medical officer for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services; and Michael Sherling, co-founder of Modernizing Medicine.[9]

Forman founded Yale’s MD/MBA program and directs both the Yale School of Public Health’s Health Care Management program and the Yale School of Management’s Executive MBA program (health care track). He has served as a legislative aide in the U.S. Senate on Medicare legislation.[10]
