Holly Hobbie is a Canadian-American children's TV series, which airs on Hulu in the United States and on Family Channel in Canada.[1] Based on the Holly Hobbie media franchise, the series stars Ruby Jay as Holly Hobbie, a teenage aspiring singer-songwriter living with her family in the small town of Collinsville.[2]

The cast also includes Evan Buliung and Erin Karpluk as Holly's parents Robert and Katherine, Charles Vandervaart as her older brother Robbie, Kate Moyer as her younger sister Heather, Sara Botsford as her grandmother Helen, Hunter Dillon as the town's "rebel" boy Tyler Flaherty, and Saara Chaudry and Kamaia Fairburn as her best friends Amy and Piper.

The show premiered in fall 2018 on Hulu, and in January 2019 on Family Channel. In July 2019, it was renewed for a second season.[3] In September 2019, a soundtrack album was released, featuring songs performed by Holly in the show including the series theme song "Be the Change".[4]

The series received eight Canadian Screen Award nominations at the 8th Canadian Screen Awards in 2020, for Best Children's or Youth Fiction Program or Series, Best Performance in a Children's or Youth Program or Series (3: Chaudry, Dillon, Moyer), Best Direction in a Children's or Youth Program or Series (2: Stefan Brogren for "The Birthday Basher" and Megan Follows for "The Freckled Fugitive") and Best Writing in a Children's or Youth Program or Series (2: Sarah Glinski for "The Mad Muralist" and Cole Bastedo for "The Rabble Rouser".)
