Expected events
- January - The Police announce that they would reunite after a 23-year hiatus. They plan to tour to mark their 30th Anniversary around May or June. Although, there are no plans for an album featuring new material, which would be their first studio recording since 1983's Synchronicity, just touring.[1]
- Sometime in May - The Los Angeles, California radio station KROQ will air the fifteenth annual Weenie Roast.
- May 12 - The final of the 52nd Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Helsinki, Finland.
- May 16-May 20 - The European Festival of Youth Choirs will be held in Basel, Switzerland.
