Aerosmith First album of original material since 2001's Just Push Play. A new album was to be released in 2006, but guitarist Joe Perry announced that it would not be recorded and released until this year as they are currently touring with Mötley Crüe. [1]
Against Me! Signed on to Sire Records to record major label album for sometime in 2007.
Alice in Chains First studio release since their 1995 self-titled album. Drummer Sean Kinney has said in an interview that he would be interested in writing new material, but it is unclear if their new singer William DuVall, the replacement of the late Layne Staley, will record it.
Anthrax First album with the Among the Living line-up since 1990's Persistence of Time.
Arena Didn't release a studio album since 2005
Armored Saint First studio release since 2000's Revelation. There are some fans expecting a new Armored Saint album, but singer John Bush has not revealed any plans for it.

Atreyu Late They are set to go into the recording studio for their fourth studio album on Hollywood Records, Victory Records is releasing a best of album.

Bon Jovi April On a television show in early December 2006, Jon Bon Jovi confirmed that they would be finished the new album by Christmas 2006. The album is rumoured to be more country/rock then previous albums.

Jackson will be writing the majority of the album by himself. It has been rumored the album will feature duets with Jackson's sister, music icon, Janet Jackson as well as Mary J. Blige.
