:Pratyush ChowdharyThe article has already been deleted and so I don't have access to it, but it is sometimes possible to ask an admin to email the contents to you at WP:REFUND. If I recall correctly there were paragraphs such as "Had a dream to create a great company" and "offers business solutions" or something of the sort. The company has also previously paid editors for creating an article about them. – Thjarkur (talk) 16:54, 5 January 2021 (UTC) |

Hello. I am completely new at this so I don't know if I am doing it correctly. I am in the process of revamping my page on Howard Dresner and I appreciate your comments. One mentioned that there could be a conflict. I don't see a conflict, so I hope that won't be a factor in getting the page approved or not flagged once I have figured out what I'm doing. Thank you. :Hello DiFreeze1, if there isn't a conflict of interest then there's no problem. The only thing that would be necessary for a new article not to be tagged would be that the article neutrally summarized what independent sources said about the subject, and that sources containing significant coverage of the subject were cited. The subject does have many passing mentions, but I wasn't immediately able to find significant independent coverage of him – that can indicate that the subject isn't notable enough for an article here. – Thjarkur (talk) 22:10, 5 January 2021 (UTC) |

Scripts++ Newsletter – Issue 19
News and updates associated with user scripts from the past month (December 2020).
Hello everyone and welcome to the 19th issue of the Wikipedia Scripts++ Newsletter:
Scripts Submit your new/improved script here
|
- Voting in the m:Community Wishlist Survey 2021 is ongoing until December 21, 2020. There are 15 proposals in the "bots and gadgets" category that may be of interest.
- A script to help list discussions at WP:ANRFC (request)
- A script to allow undoing edits despite conflicting intermediary edits (request)
- ...and many more, all available at Wikipedia:User scripts/Requests
- The Watchlist Expiry feature worked on by the Community Tech team has been enabled on Wikipedia. For scripts that include watching or unwatching pages, developers may want to update their code to take advantage of the new functionality. See the documentation on mediawiki.org.
- As noted in the prior issue, Enterprisey's links-in-logs script has now been implemented as part of MediaWiki core. By my count, this is his third script that was replaced by implementing the code in MediaWiki core or an extension, along with link-section-edits and abusefilter-hide-search. Additionally, his reply-link script is being converted in part to mw:Extension:DiscussionTools. Are there any other scripts that might be worth integrating directly in MediaWiki? Thoughts would be welcome at Wikipedia talk:Scripts++.
As always, if anyone else would like to contribute, help is appreciated. Stay safe, and happy holidays! --DannyS712 (talk) 00:19, 18 December 2020 (UTC)
RE: Singh Tyagi surname
Hello
1. My ancestor from 9 generations earlier from Mughal times was Chaudhary Maha Singh. The whole village is predominantly his decendents. 2. My Grandfather from Sambhal District UP did not write Tyagi as his last name, he wrote Singh. 3. My other Grandfather from Karnal Haryana did not write Tyagi either. Some of his brother's used Sharma, served in WWII. 4. My Father, an Officer in the Indian Army started writing last name Tyagi. His cousins had names like Ram Singh, Phool Singh.
Do you mean to say that all these people are not Tyagis? How, please explain? Regards.
M Tyagi — Preceding unsigned comment added by Watcher2009 (talk • contribs) 20:57, 18 December 2020 (UTC)
- The article is not currently about a clan, but about a particular surname. (See also WP:OR) – Thjarkur (talk) 21:26, 18 December 2020 (UTC)

Thank you for this request! This persecution has drained me terribly, and I'm glad someone took notice of this obvious sockpuppetry.--Nicoljaus (talk) 00:01, 21 December 2020 (UTC)
- Yes I can imagine. I'm not even quite sure how your previous protests about this user being a sock went unheeded – Thjarkur (talk) 00:30, 21 December 2020 (UTC)
- Well, I can't say that my protests went completely unheeded )) I got a couple of wonderful blocks and they opened my IPs to all who want to know them. Okay, thanks again.--Nicoljaus (talk) 07:21, 21 December 2020 (UTC)

- The source did not verify that claim, but secondly it is not relevant enough to mention on a list of individuals. – Thjarkur (talk) 23:50, 23 December 2020 (UTC)
Why you have added mali word in saini article?mali is different caste in punjab according to Punjab land Alliation Act — Preceding unsigned comment added by 117.225.46.101 (talk) 06:21, 24 December 2020 (UTC)
Saini is different caste in punjab
The census of 1881 as shown on page 292 and 232 of the book linked below 'The Cyclopaedia of India and of Eastern and Southern Asia, Commercial, Industrial and Scientific by Edward Balfour, Jan 1885' ascertains that Sainis and Malis have always been documented as entirely separate tribes in census. Same with page 232.
https://play.google.com/books/reader?id=yvNWAAAAMAAJ&hl=en&pg=GBS.PA294
Why is it being ignored, please understand this is a sensitive topic for Saini community and we are being mistaken for other group which lives in different part of India Remove mali word with saini articles you can say that rajput mali started only in 1937 using saini surname how you can say all saini are malies only rajput mali using saini surname not all mali in other different states . — Preceding unsigned comment added by 117.234.186.169 (talk) 13:23, 25 December 2020 (UTC)

Tagged article
Hi Þjarkur, thanks for your observation amd notes on the article you've tagged as 'Advert'. The goal is to respect Wikipedia guidelines, on that regard just cleaned up and added other sources to be fully NPOV compliant. Can you please check? Thanks! Digitalpaper (talk) 08:19, 29 December 2020 (UTC)
- Have trimmed some more and removed the tag, the main thing left to fix had been the phrases unique opportunity and globally recognised – Thjarkur (talk) 11:03, 29 December 2020 (UTC)

Greetings,
I have seen you also reviewed the article Draft:Fred Ngajiro. Thank you very much , though after going through it and add more reliable sources i believe you can let me know if by now is in good condition for review. Hope your keeping safeNdizibanana (talk) 14:03, 29 December 2020 (UTC)
- Almost all of the sources appear to be sponsored content. – Thjarkur (talk) 14:10, 29 December 2020 (UTC)
Thanks for your respond though i have also shared this to the help and they say not all of them are sponsored or advert content . Have you been able to go through the sources and read them?? Kindly re-check again. Thanks Ndizibanana (talk) 14:39, 29 December 2020 (UTC)
We been also discusing that byline here in Tanzania is not applicable for most sources which are reliable sources. And most of these sources are from reliable source / gorverment newspapers and all which are also used to many wikipedia articles. Kindly look again one by one article some they have byline and some are not but it doesnt mean they are paid sources. Ndizibanana (talk) 14:43, 29 December 2020 (UTC)
Example this article ..how would you rate it ? https://www.thecitizen.co.tz/magazine/success/-How--Fred-Vunjabei--built-a-Sh4bn-business-empire-at-33/1843788-5637920-ec6oj5/index.html Ndizibanana (talk) 15:41, 29 December 2020 (UTC)
- It reads like sponsored coverage, as do the other articles in the same section of that website, including the standard uncritical over-the-top praise and a publicity photo with JPEG compression artifacts. – Thjarkur (talk) 15:52, 29 December 2020 (UTC)
Thanks for your review but other editors says otherwise ... So even this article? https://nairobinews.nation.co.ke/chillax/tanzanian-fashion-icon-targets-kenyan-market-with-vunja-bei-stores
