December 2020

Hey, Hope you are well, I am Peerzada Mohammad Iflaq Thankyou for replying to my edit on page Kishtwar, I have edited the page and removed "of india", that seemed to be not fitting there, as there was already a mention of India. It seemed to be a typo that is why i have summarized it as "fixed typo". If you think that really is against the terms of wikipedia I will be correcting my mistake and keep this in mind for further edits. Kindly let me know at my talk page. Syed Iflaq (talk) 10:52, 28 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A typographical error is something like putting a "y" in the middle of your name because I pressed the wrong key by mistake.-- Toddy1 (talk) 12:31, 28 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • I really appreciate your response. Thankyou for letting me know. I will keep this in mind.

AfC decline

Hi Toddy1, Just came through Draft:Tariq Masood where you declined it manually but I guess you do not have access to AfC reviewing, right? Don't know if your decline was fine or not? You should try requesting for AfC flag. Regards, ─ The Aafī (talk) 17:06, 1 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@TheAafi: The relevant sequence of events is as follows (requester in red, reviewer in blue):
-- Toddy1 (talk) 20:18, 2 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Toddy1, yes I get that completely but I'm talking about a different issue. Since this was an AfC draft, and the reviewer would there mean an "AfC volunteer" defo which you are not. It could've been better if you had just tried to fix the issues as you did in the third diff indicated above, and left the draft for an AfC volunteer for review. WP:AFC/P explicitly notes it that Editors whose usernames are not on the list are strongly cautioned not to review AfC submissions. This is the thing I highlighted above. I've had a great time with you in past and this is why I asked you to get AfC flag so that you can genuinely review AfC submissions. ─ The Aafī (talk) 20:38, 2 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Oh. I did not know that I was not allowed to do AfC reviews.-- Toddy1 (talk) 20:42, 2 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I should add that I would not have known about the issues I fixed if I had not done the review.-- Toddy1 (talk) 20:47, 2 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Toddy1, It is okay. I've requested AfC flag for you. Once it is done, you can install the AfC script in the Preferences section of your account. ─ The Aafī (talk) 20:54, 2 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:Wahbi

Hello, Toddy1. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Wahbi".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been deleted. If you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Liz Read! Talk! 20:42, 13 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If you look at Talk:Wahbi you will understand the history of all this. I did not create the article, all I did was to give the IP editor a chance to develop his/her text. But he/she did not bother.-- Toddy1 (talk) 23:00, 13 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
