Mobile was built by Austal USA at their shipyard in Mobile, Alabama .[9][10] The Navy accepted delivery of Mobile from the shipbuilder on 9 December 2020, during a ceremony held at the Austal USA shipyards. As of December 2020[update], The Navy plans to hold a commissioning ceremony for Mobile in spring 2021.[11]
