Awaiting confirmation from checkusers before granting WP:IPBE — O Still Small Voice of Clam 14:10, 24 October 2020 (UTC)
- Hi - I see you can now make edits, at least to your user page. Do you still need IPBE? I'm still awaiting a response from the check-user request, but they don't seem very quick in responding. — O Still Small Voice of Clam 07:24, 28 October 2020 (UTC)
Hello, Voice of Clam! You can see that I can edit my user page these days. But in fact I have to change many IP proxy nodes in order to find a node which I can edit. I'm not sure whether these IP nodes can be used for a long time or not, especially when someone use these same IP nodes to destroy Wikipedia. Changing IP nodes often is not convenient for me to edit. As for awaiting for the response, I'm in no hurry to edit articles or create new pages because I'm busy in all kinds of tasks in my university, but I will still edit Wikipedia in my free time. Thank you! Perimeter Chou (talk) 08:17, 28 October 2020 (UTC)
- Confirmed, IPBE would be appropriate to grant in this case. Note that I am new to the checkuser tools and this is the first time I've done an IPBE investigation. @Voice of Clam:, would you normally grant IPBE based on checkuser confirmation, or is this something checkusers normally do? --Yamla (talk) 10:20, 29 October 2020 (UTC)
- I've granted it for a period of 12 months, I just needed CU confirmation. Perimeter_Chou, contact me or another admin when and if you need it renewing. — O Still Small Voice of Clam 10:25, 29 October 2020 (UTC)
IP block exempt
I have granted your account an exemption from IP blocking. This will allow you to edit the English Wikipedia through full blocks affecting your IP address when you are logged in.
Please read the page Wikipedia:IP block exemption carefully, especially the section on IP block exemption conditions. Inappropriate usage of this user right may result in revocation. I hope this will enhance your editing, and allow you to edit successfully and without disruption. — O Still Small Voice of Clam 10:25, 29 October 2020 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for November 1
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Fox Spirit Matchmaker, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages PC and Android. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:27, 1 November 2020 (UTC)
I have corrected them. Thanks for your notification! Perimeter Chou (talk) 06:44, 1 November 2020 (UTC)
Hello, Perimeter Chou
Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Elliot321, and I thank you for your contributions.
I wanted to let you know, however, that I've proposed an article that you started, The Three-Body Problem in Minecraft, for deletion because it meets one or more of our deletion criteria, and I don't think that it is suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. The particular issue can be found in the notice that is now visible at the top of the article.
If you wish to contest the deletion:
- Edit the page
- Remove the text that looks like this:
{{proposed deletion/dated...}}
- Click the button.
If you object to the article's deletion, please remember to explain why you think the article should be kept on the article's talk page and improve the page to address the issues raised in the deletion notice. Otherwise, it may be deleted later by other means.
If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Elliot321}}
. And remember to sign your reply with ~~~~
. Thanks!

Hello, Elliot321,
I have known that you think the article is non-notable web series. Well, before I published, I searched some information on Google in English. Actually, few medias or news referred this science fiction. But this is a Chinese animation, when you use Chinese words "我的三体" to search on Google you could find many results. The animation is well known in China with high playback and rating but not the whole world. So I don't think it is a non-notable web series. If you don't agree, you can tell me what should I do, for example, add something about its impact or something else?
Perimeter Chou★Misaka 14980★ 11:39, 23 January 2021 (UTC)
- Perimeter Chou sure, adding more information about impact, reviews, etc would be good. Feel free to remove the PROD tag if you do so, I thought there was a chance of this article being notable which is why I did not try to speedy it. Elliot321 (talk | contribs) 11:40, 23 January 2021 (UTC)
Wikipedia and copyright
Hello Perimeter Chou! Your additions to Cypripedium shanxiense have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.
- You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
- Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
- We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. All other images must be made available under a free and open license that allows commercial and derivative reuse to be used on Wikipedia.
- If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps in Wikipedia:Translation#How to translate. See also Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 23:49, 26 January 2021 (UTC)
