Hello, I'm sorry it's been awhile, but I recently agreed to mediate that case. I don't know if it's a stale issue, so it would be good if a few of you let me know whether or not mediation is still needed. Since there are so many of you, I'm going to assume that all of you agree to me mediating until and unless I am told otherwise. I'm also going to assume public mediation is fine, unless someone asks for [[Wikipedia:Mediation#Why_should_mediation_be_confidential.3F|private]] mediation, or I come to think private mediation might be better. I would, however, appreciate it if you just said something there to let me know if you are still around. Also, assuming you are still interested in mediation, please watchlist the page if you haven't already. Thanks! Hey Andres. The Falun Gong talk page is only blocked for the first four days that you are a registered Wikipedian. I think it would be better if you posted your own comments and were able to respond to the feedback. You've only got a couple of days at most to go, so just be patient. I can assure you that nothing major will have changed in that time. Meanwhile, if you haven't done so already, you might want to go back and read some of the archives. I'd suggest Talk:Falun Gong/Archive8 and Talk:Falun Gong/Archive9 at the very least. CovenantD 03:03, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
Hi Andres! Thanks for the information. I was more just trying to explain what I thought first-time readers might want from Wikipedia's Falun Gong page than asking for personal education, but it was very kind of you to write me that long explanation.
I still feel a little confused about people's motivations (the motivation of the Chinese government to persecute -- and it does appear to be persecution to me -- and the motivation of people in China to adopt Falun Gong when they know that it will subject them to such persecution). Still, I suppose those are questions of analytical interpretation instead of "fact," so maybe it's hard for Wikipedia's FG page to answer them -- especially considering that there is such controversy among the page editors!
Anyway, thanks and happy editing. Katsam 00:29, 23 July 2006 (UTC)
