Scatter Records creation

Hi there. I'm the user who tries to create this Wikipedia article. I do believe that it deserves to be on the encyclopedia because it's a notable subject. It's an argentine record label that manages many musical bands and has its own website. I didn't add any more info at first because I intended to add them afterwards. Understood. I still believe that Scatter Records as innocent as it might seem, is really notable for the encyclopedia. It has its own website which has all of the info about it.   • Hi 146.199.189.161, yes much improved from the first unsourced version. However to be fair to all submitters I don't review/re-review on request, I just pick new and old submissions at random, so it may or may not be myself who reviews it next. So unless you can find a reviewer with particular interest in the topic you'll just have to wait for someone to get around to it.   • Hi Stneduc as said before all new articles on Wikipedia have to show the subject is notable (See WP:N) which in most cases requires significant coverage in multiple independent (WP:INDY) reliable sources (WP:RS).   • Hi DamesnetV you haven't done anything bad to Draft:Lucy McCarraher your edit after mine just added lines between the bibliography list items. This also doe not actually affect the output as a list can have zero or one newline between each entry. IMDB is not a valid source as it's user generated content (same as Wikis including Wikipedia), see WP:IMDB. With mainstream films and well known people it is usually correct but unfortunately a lot of people wanting a Wikipedia article create an IMDB one first, or they add themselves to films they were not in, or change the date of birth to appear younger, etc. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 13:25, 6 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Kyletastic: you recently denied my posting for Herbert Patterson User:Rob247/sandbox. You cited a lack of references from reliable sources, you suggested or inferred the individual was not important enough to merit their own page. My response is thus: Yes he is not a famous person. I watched a film with him in on one of the major pay for view providers, (which arguably puts him in front of many millions of other people too). I looked for more information and discovered Wikipedia had no information on him and i decided to remedy this situation. I dont think Wikipedia should not have a notability level? He is not well referenced? This is because he was a minor actor but no less important i would argue Than Steve McQueen etc. If you are going to delete it then go ahead - other than linking this page to his wife's page (also a minor actor who is on wikipedia???) i have nothing more i can reliably add for the reasons i have given, so this effort hardly seems worth it. Rather than delete my work, reflect as i have done and you consider what the concept of 'Famous enough' is for an encyclopedia that for the first time in human history covers all things for all people? None of the information i have added is inaccurate so may act to inform others - why should this harmless and possibly helpful page be deleted? Is this about the rules more than the service? May i also observe that if this page is posted it may encourage those who knew him better than i to provide the missing information - isnt that the point of all of this? (Cyberspace is - or can be - a good, friendly and egalitarian place to meet. In this case Wikipedia:Notability (people) or WP:NACTOR. As Wikipedia can be edited by anyone and there are no staff, no editorial team to make decisions on individual cases we have to use these guidelines built from consensus. Hi KylieTastic thanks for the quick response. I'm sorry that we disagree and that my page will be deleted. But your policy has a dilemma- saying significant existing coverage and notability means noone who isn't already noted elsewhere can be added. ok to stop self-promotion but how do you grow and be comprehensive and inclusive? You seem to be a reasonable guy but despite stating there are no editors - that is the position you've taken. Hi KylieTastic, just a quick question: how do I use reFill 2? I come across pages during new page patrol with bare references and find it difficult to expand the citations manually. I see editors using "refill2" but I'm not sure how to use it. --Ashleyyoursmile! 16:09, 7 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

you will then get "reFill 2" (and reFill as well still for an unknown reason) on your left have tools menu. See User:Zhaofeng Li/reFill for more.
Just be careful as it mostly gets things correct but sometimes goes bad: such as adding junk... usually to first and last fields; also some sites redirect to a login so you loose the actual target (such as instagram) so need manual fixup (or remove if not a valid source).   • Hi RayJstillhere I see you noticed your signature issue names are case sensitive if you want to change see Wikipedia:Changing username. To answer the question, yes it is fine to remove or archive most messages on your own talk page. There are some you shouldn't but I dont have a list, but they are the serious sort of admin messages such as if a user is blocked. So yes your free to keep your talk page tidy.   • Hi Aria Moayerian although English sources are preferred there is no problem using other language sources especially any which are really good (significant coverage of the topic, completely independent and a reliable source) to show notability. Note that IMDB is not a reliable source (see WP:IMDB) - but is OK in the external links section. So remove IMDB, add any really good Farsi sources and re-submit.
