Full Story

Britney Spears' fifth studio album is still in production and is set to be released in summer or fall 2007. Spears herself confirmed on her official site, on January 5th, that she's working hard to release the new album sometime later this year.Cite error: A <ref> tag is missing the closing </ref> (see the help page). However, it was delayed due to Spears' second pregnancy which she announced on May 9, 2006. MTV has confirmed that rapper T-Pain has been asked to produce a few songs for the new album[1] and that Sean Garrett has finished three tracks.[2] Jonathan Rotem, a well-known R&B producer, is working in the studio with Spears. His record label's official site mentioned that he is working on a few songs for Spears' new album, two of which are entitled Everybody and Who Can She Trust. Also Swizz Beatz, along with Sean Garrett, is currently working on the album. Rolling Stone has confirmed that Britney is also working with Nate Hills on her upcoming new album.

After giving birth to her second child, Spears has been back in the studio since October 27, 2006. Britney has also reunited with the manager that made her famous, Larry Rudolph. The two were seen leaving a recording studio in December.

In November 2006, Pharrell Williams announced to People Magazine that he is producing tracks in New York with Britney. [3] Access Hollywood has reported that Britney is in the studio with Scott Storch and Timbaland. Kara DioGuardi has confirmed on her official website, that she's currently working with Britney. People has reported that Dr. Luke and Max Martin is mixing tracks with Britney in The Palms recording studio in Las Vegas. [4] Producer Patrick J. Que Smith has confirmed that he just finished two tracks with Britney for her new album in the studio. [5]

In December 2006, Sean Garrett talked about Britney's upcoming album saying that it's going to be incredible. He defined, the seven tracks that they've done as exciting, aggressive and fun. He added that they're definitely getting back to the basics and trying to make the world dance and sing to her beat. [6]

Spears' manager, Larry Rudolph, estimated in an interview with USA Today that the first single would be put out near the end of summer 2007 and the album would be released in the fall; he also added that half of the album is completed. [7]

On the 7th of January a video circulated of Britney listening to two new demos from her album in her car. Currently the video is viewable at x17online.com. The first new track is believed to be 'Love' from her Sean Garrett recording sessions. The second demo, is believed to be a new introduction to "Rebellion" (Working Title).[8]
