About Rich Ferguson

Grew up in Salinas ... adopted at age 12. When tested to see where Rich should be in school, Rich was off the charts but could hardly read. Go figure! Rich went to Atascadero High, Cuesta and Cal Poly focusing on Mechanical Engineering. In high school, Rich was involved in many sports and clubs... chess champion!, computer club("geek"-We know you were thinking that!), science club, wrestling, track, football and swimming... Got to go to Olympic Wrestling Camp senior year. Rich always liked to create things and his future in magic was inevitable. Rich's magic is more about paying attention to people and getting away with things than any other type of magical art. Rich is a natural at that part considering his background. Rich made the US Kayak Team in 91 and competed for the US for three years. Rich currently stays very active hiking, crashing remote control planes, networking with magicians, watching any performance art of any kind, playing pool, bowling and daily pranks/hustles with friends

Education: Besides attending Cuesta and Cal Poly for Mechanical Engineering…Rich is always involved in workshops for NLP, hypnosis, magic subtlety etc... Also, Rich spent a year at the Mac Teacher to learn Photoshop, web design, html, editing etc to be able to better oversee or create promotional materials on his own.

"I would like to add one thing that it unusual about my magic. I have not read a magic book yet@! I do not own magic videos or books like all of my peers. I really like to take the building blocks of magic and create my own effects and ideas. It is unheard of for that in my business today. I really do not frequent magic shops either. I think that magic shops are fun for learning great tricks to do to friends (you know, the "ha, I got you!" tricks). Of course, keep in mind that quality magic shops have a great resource for learning all kinds of magic if you are willing to put in the time!", Rich Ferguson
