"He's Into Her" is the second original single of the Filipino boy group BGYO, after the smash hit The Light.[1] The official track was released on 23 April 2021 worldwide as a Digital Single by Star Music.[2][3][4] The song was written and composed by Jonathan Manalo[2] and Gabriel Tagadtad[2] for the official soundtrack of iWantTFC's digital Philippine romance comedy series He's Into Her.[5][6]

The official track instantly debuted on Spotify's "RADAR Philippines 2021 Roster", on the day of its release.[7]

Composition and lyrics

"He's Into Her" is a Synth-pop genre-bending Original Pilipino Music or P-Pop infuses with Electronic music elements.[8] It runs for a total of four minutes and one second. The lyrics were written in English by Jonathan Manalo and Gabriel Tagadtad, arranged and mixed by Theo Martel.[2]

Rafael Bautista of nylonmanila.com cited in his article "this upbeat song is about the boys being head over heels over a girl".[8]

Background and Release

Prior to the official announcement of the song "He's Into Her", series of teasers were posted on the social media accounts of Star Music, BGYO and Jonathan Manalo, the composer of the track, it was on 19 March 2021, when he first posted pictures consisting of the names of BGYO with the respective line distribution of the song.[9] On the ten days timeline preceding the official reveal of the song "He's Into Her", Star Music posted a teaser trailer of the audio track, it started on 31 March 2021 and it lasted until the official date of the reveal on 9 April 2021.[10][11][12][13][14]

On 10 April 2021, Star Music finally announced that "He's Into Her" will be officially released worldwide on 23rd of April through digital download, it was also associated with another audio teaser taken from the chorus of the song via Twitter.[4]

"He's Into Her" premiered on Star Music YouTube channel at exactly 12 midnight of 23 April 2021 in the Philippines as a lyric video and it was officially released worldwide via digital download.[3]

On 9 April 2021, BGYO officially performed the five teasers of the song "He's Into Her" live, for the first time, on their show in Kumu.[15]
