Sara Latife Ruiz Chávez (b. 1976 in Cozumel, Quintana Roo) is a Mexican politician affiliated to the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI).
Political career
Ruiz Chávez began her politcal career in her native Cozumel serving in the public administration of the Municipality of Cozumel; then she served in the cabinet of Joaquín Hendricks and Félix González Canto. In 2006 she won a seat in the lower houser of the Mexican Congress to serve during the LX Legislature.
She is currently running for General Secretary of the National Executive Council (2nd most important ranking position within the PRI) for the upcoming PRI internal elections.
