Siwan heads back to her childhood "home away from home", Waunarlwydd RFC. It's where she spent her Saturdays watching her father, Tim, coach, and Sundays watching brother Gethin play. village club near Swansea

“When my 17th birthday came, I told her, ‘I’m going rugby training next week’ and that was the end of it. I joined the squad the Thursday after my 17th birthday. I went down and trained. Literally two weeks later, I was playing matches."

Siwan carried on playing for Waunarlwydd while at university, then a move to Neath followed, where she finally became a forward.

While at Swansea University, she was usually found in the backline but she eventually found her home in the back row when she joined Neath RFC in 2011.

Previously, she was the university’s Sport Development Officer – a role she previously held at Cardiff University for just over a year before returning to Swansea.
