Atchanan (Template:Lang-hy; Template:Lang-az, anglicized: Khalaj)[3] is a village in the Kapan Municipality of the Syunik Province in Armenia. In 1988-1989 Armenian refugees from Azerbaijan settled in the village.[4]

The village is located about 100 km south-east from the Khalaj archaeological site in Azerbaijan.

Population

The National Statistical Service of the Republic of Armenia (ARMSTAT) reported its population as 154 in 2010,[5] down from 161 at the 2001 census.[6]
