|decline=Your username has been changed, resolving the username issue. Regarding the block itself, if you have any paid relationship with the subject of your edits, you are a paid editor, you don't have to be specifically paid for your edits. We don't know when you are "on the clock" working for your clients or "off the clock" editing Wikipedia. Please also review [[WP:COI|conflict of interest]]. You won't be unblocked to, in the short term, edit about clients. If that is your only goal here, this is the end of the road. If you want to be a general contributor and edit about topics unrelated to your conflict of interest, please tell what those might be. If you develop a good edit history in areas unrelated to your clients, you might later be permitted to indirectly submit edits related to your COI. I am declining your request. Welcome!

Hello, Gulture, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Caught Inside (album), may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for page creation, and may soon be deleted.

You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard. Thank you.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on this page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! -- φ OnePt618Talk φ 04:39, 5 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Caught Inside (album) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No indication given of this album's notability.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -- φ OnePt618Talk φ 04:39, 5 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Adventuress Wanted (film), an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Adventuress Wanted (film). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Christopher Connor (talk) 17:35, 2 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Bob Bokin Playing Guitar.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Bob Bokin Playing Guitar.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 19:24, 31 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Fat Red Couch, Inc., requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Feedthepope (talk) 22:00, 29 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Belle Adler, a page you created, has not been edited in at least 180 days. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 16:17, 20 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Gulture. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Belle Adler".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Belle Adler}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 14:01, 14 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest

Information icon Hello, Gulture. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 08:45, 11 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Bob Boykin speedy

Hi! I just wanted to let you know that I've declined the speedy for Bob Boykin because too many other people have contributed to the article since you've created it. Once other people have contributed, the article can no longer be deleted by your request alone. If you want to go for deletion, you'll have to go through WP:AfD. The only way that you could delete it via WP:G7 is if you were the only person who really contributed to the page. Most admins wouldn't really delete the page via G7 in any case because there is a strong assertion of notability here, so AfD is really the best place to go. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 08:40, 11 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Also... are you being paid to create articles? I only ask because your name matches a website that looks to be a place for musicians to get things written about them on the Internet. You mostly go through AfC so you're pretty much doing article creation right, but I do want to extend a bit of caution about paid editing per WP:COI. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 08:44, 11 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi:

Thanks for checking in.

Bob & Jimmy Z are my good friends and are clueless about posting, so I help them for free.

What website are you referring to?

Thanks Gulture (talk) 17:34, 11 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Again:

I turns out the only other person that edited the page, Woc100, is Bob himself.

What can we do to have the page deleted? He needs to have it taken down.

Gulture (talk) 03:55, 12 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • I'm referring to this link. As far as the page removal goes, I highly suggest that you go through WP:AfD. It doesn't matter if Boykin is the other person that has edited, the fact is that someone else has edited makes it inelligible for deletion. You'd have to show how Boykin fails notability guidelines per WP:PERFORMER. If Boykin himself has asked you personally to remove the page then that might give it a bit of an oomph, but it's not a guarantee for deletion. I can help you file the AfD, but I do need to know the reasons for its deletion. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 05:41, 12 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Jane McAlevey, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page BRCA (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:20, 25 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for the calculation of the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. Hello, Gulture,

Thanks for creating No Shortcuts! I edit here too, under the username Citrivescence and it's nice to meet you :-)

I wanted to let you know that I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:-

please remove non-neutral language and advertorial verbiage, e.g. "provides clear analysis." See WP:MOS for writing tips.

ArbCom 2019 election voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2019 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 on Monday, 2 December 2019. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2019 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:07, 19 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on A Collective Bargain requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://janemcalevey.com/book/a-collective-bargain/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. buidhe 04:31, 7 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

May 2021

Information icon Hello, Gulture. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. 2601:188:180:B8E0:65F5:930C:B0B2:CD63 (talk) 13:44, 21 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

User:ReaderofthePack, I wish I had seen your note before. Gulture, I am going to block you indefinitely for your username (since that's your company) and for a serious violation of WP:UPE. You should have disclosed this. The old "I did it for a friend" that you used years ago, that does not fly, certainly not in light of what you did for Jane McAlevey. If you want to come back here, you will need to change your username and disclose every single conflict of interest, and you will need to restrict yourself to the talk pages. That can be done: there are conscientious Wikipedia editors who get paid for their work but stick by the rules. And as far as your work for Jane McAlevey goes, I hope she didn't pay you a lot, since what you did at A Collective Bargain is just lousy work, which would have been cut even if a COI wasn't suspected. Drmies (talk) 16:24, 21 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of name and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions other than promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Drmies (talk) 16:25, 21 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I apologize for not following protocols. I have nothing but respect for what you all do and do not want to violate any terms.

I am personal friends with Ms McAlevey and Mr Castleman. Yes, I do work in marketing and PR, but this work is/was done gratis. I am well aware of the restrictions on being compensated for posting.

- In high school in Suffern, NY, in the 1960’s, Ms McAlevey's eldest brother, now deceased, was my best friend. We also worked together after graduation in Hollywood and elsewhere. I reconnected with her a few years ago and she asked me to create a page for her and her books, so I did.

- I went to college with Mr Castleman’s younger brother and met him back in the ‘70s. We reconnected a decade or so ago and he also asked me to create a page for him, so I did.

The times I’ve posted have all been requests from friends, or friends of friends, which I did for free. Giving back a little, so to speak.

I should also disclose that since I did the postings for Ms McAlevey & Mr Castleman they did become paying clients, but I never bill them for time working on their pages. This is for website-related & PR work. I kept an eye on the pages, especially Ms McAlevey's, as she has been trolled on social media quite a bit since she is controversial.

I would continue to monitor these accounts to make sure they are not trolled as well as make appropriate additions to them. I would consider creating new pages for free, never for pay, but only for people I know.

What else do you need from me to be reinstated and to repost the pages? Thank you for considering my request.

Decline reason:

Your username has been changed, resolving the username issue. Regarding the block itself, if you have any paid relationship with the subject of your edits, you are a paid editor, you don't have to be specifically paid for your edits. We don't know when you are "on the clock" working for your clients or "off the clock" editing Wikipedia. Please also review conflict of interest. 331dot (talk) 07:45, 22 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
