Long Meadow of Prospect Park.
Announcing the Wikimedia Hackathon 2021ǃ

The Hacknic is a planned socially-distanced mini-Wiknic in Brooklyn's Prospect Park to coincide with the virtual Wikimedia Hackathon 2021, being held Sunday May 23, 12-5pm in a shaded grove in front of the Picnic House on the western part of the Long Meadow.

All attendees are subject to Wikimedia NYC's Code of Conduct. In addition, it is particularly important to respect personal space and to observe government health mandates, and we may limit overall attendance size if appropriate.

If you have Wikipedia/Wikimedia apparel or swag, consider wearing it or bringing it along to make it a bit easier for everyone to find each other in the wide open green spaces.

For this occasion, and to allow more space as desired, we will have individually packed lunches provided by the chapter, and you are encouraged to RSVP at Eventbrite and give your sandwich/entree order.

The three primary topic areas will be:

At 2pm, 'Hacking the Movement Charter' this will be the last session on the schedule of the global virtual Wikimedia Hackathon on Sunday
